The Cat’s Pyjamas – new solo Cabaret piece
I am touring my newest Cabaret piece called The Cat’s Pyjamas. It began its life at Paul Oertel’s workshop in Cornwall early June, and was then selected for the Bits Festival at the Round House with an exciting company called Get In The Back of The Van. In their Show Us Your Bits festival, they select one piece to take onto their Bitten festival in September and they chose Cat’s Pyjamas! Royal Wedding Bollywood Spoof
We completed a whirlwind shoot for The Observer’s response to the Royal Wedding, out on Sunday, April 17th. The adaptation is my first attempt at Bollywood choreography.
Welcome Warmth
A dance performance and workshops mentored by Rosemary Butcher, aiming to work with the Wellcome Trust, looking at embodied movement in signing people, examining Mirror Neurons and the text The Perfect Mind – Thunder Text.
The Artful Badger
This is an events collective, including Badger Badger the band and Badger Samba. I am the resident Choreographer and head Dancer. Our most current shows have been at the Round Chapel with Finley Quaye, in Le Trianon in Paris with Ebony Bones, at the Battersea Power Station with The Secret Garden Party’s Lost Lover’s Ball, The Last Tuesday’s Society’s Masquerade Ball and Passing Clouds. We offer themed bespoke event performances (see Gallery for Images). Our venue at the at The Secret Garden Party continues to grow stronger each year. We also appeared at Haselstock Festival and headline Summer Sunset.
Music Videos
I am the co-founder of music video company ZFILMS with Stella Scott (Director), Vanessa Whyte (Director of Photography), me (Co-director, Choreographer) and Nico Argast (Editor). Stella’s short film was an official selection for the Underwire Film Festival. Our third video has just gone into post production and we are awaiting the final mixed music from Badger Badger. We are currently working on a pitch for Melodica, Melody and Me.
Movement intensives for actors at The Factory. These are developing my practice in Abstract Movement for Performers. This work is inspired by the two year engagement with the practice of 5 Rhythms.
